October Horror Marathon '10. Final Count.

by ‎Carl Grutt‎ on ‎‎Tuesday, November 2, 2010‎ at ‎12:20am‎ ·‎

23. Shit! 8 short. It's tough! Anyway, here's the list:

- Lord of Illusions: Wow. Start low, finish high, no?
- Audition: First time. Holy Shit. Thanks to John for sellin' this to me way back at Indy. Incredible.
- Scream: Don't sleep on these, Craven know what he's doing.
- Stage Fright: Italian Horror. Quality shit. Like Belgian Waffles, or German Autos.
- Garfield's Halloween Special: Nostalgia. Saturday morning style.
- Slumber Party Massacre: Revealing. Worth it.
- Campfire Tales: A compilation piece. Always a good addition to the Horror marathon.
- Scream 2: I'm telling you.
- Scream 3: Watch these again.
- The Reaping: I just don't know about this modern blockbuster horror stuff. But the menstrual period thing is pretty effin' weird.
- Night Life: Inevitable 80's cheese. Silly. Good "break up the list" value.
- Elvira presents: The Crawling Hand: On purpose. It was great. Campy comfort like an x-large popcorn.
- Tales From the Crypt: Bordello Of Blood: Dennis Miller takes me back. Plus, Corey Feldman. Undeniable.
- Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Hilary Swank "Get out of my facial." Nuff said.
- Bride of Frankenstein: 'Bout time. Understandably important. Watch it.
- Sisters: Wow, what a nugget to discover! Crazy and Awesome. Do it!
- 28 Days Later. . . : Blatantly significant. Plus, Golden Boy Danny "Slumdog" Boyle directs.
- Creepshow: The epitome of New Hollywood Horror.
- A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984): Wes proves early, he knows what he's doing. Don't Sleep, literally. ;)
- The Shining: I don't even want to talk about this. If you refuse to watch this you are an idiot.
- From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter: Jango Fett cancels out Earl McGraw. Take it with salt.
- Psycho (1960): Kubrick is responsible for The Shining, is Hitchcock responsible for Kubrick? Ask yourself this before and after.
- Psycho (1998): Cute. Interesting. Nearly worthless.

I didn't blog, but I wrote notes on most. Inquire about detailed opinions on any title. Happy uhm Halloween, uhm. . . last year. . . .uh..
